Set the coffee temperature

The manual's method. Ascaso gives the range as 80 to 110 °C in 1 °C steps.

1. Press button 22, left of the display. It shows PrG.
2. Press 22 to lower the temperature or 23 to raise it.
3. Leave the buttons alone for 3 seconds. The machine saves the value and goes back to normal.

If your coffee is not hot enough, the manual's first answer is to raise this setting.

1. With the machine on, hold button 23 and press button 22 for 3 seconds. The display alternates SET UP.
2. Press 22 to step through the settings.
3. At the one you want, press 23 to change it.
4. Press 22 to lower the value or 23 to raise it.
5. Leave the buttons for 3 seconds. It saves and goes back to normal.

Program the doses, and reset

The manual's methods. The coffee switch has two programmable doses, up and down.

1. Hold the coffee switch up until the cup has the amount you want, then let go. That dose is now programmed.
2. Do the same with the switch held down for the other dose.
3. To restore the factory settings: with the machine on, hold button 23 for 3 seconds. The display shows PrS.

Stand-by, when you turn it on in the menu, switches the heating off after the time you chose; only the power lamp stays lit. Press any button to wake it.
