Weekly soak

Wash the portafilter and baskets

The manual gives no detergent soak. This is what it does say about washing.

Wash the portafilter in hot water with pH-neutral soap.
Rinse it well and dry it with a soft cloth. The manual says the portafilter must not go in the dishwasher.
Wash the baskets in the top of the dishwasher, or by hand and rinse well.
The drip tray and the tank may also go in the top of the dishwasher.
