Brew pressure: read it, leave the valve alone

The manual: water from the pump passes an over-pressure valve (OPV) regulated to 12 bar. Read the pressure on the lower scale while a shot runs.

• Bezzera's 2020 parts catalogue lists the valve as adjustable from 9 to 12 bar.
• Bezzera gives no owner method to adjust it. The valve is inside the case, behind the seal: see the OPV for what a technician deals with.
• Owners note that a vibration pump on a blind basket reads high: one says 12.8 bar there "may be more like 9.8" during a real shot (home-barista.com).
