Where it goes

The manual's installation notes:

• Stand it on a flat, dry, stable surface.
• Room temperature 5 to 32 °C, humidity no more than 70 %.
• If it has been below 0 °C, leave it for 24 hours above 15 °C before switching on.

The manual also says installation should be done by qualified staff. Bezzera ships the machine with the boiler empty, to avoid frost damage.

Fill, switch on and purge the steam

The manual's steps.

1. Lift the lid and take the tank out by its handle.
2. Fill it with drinking water of about 15 °F hardness (French degrees). Never use hot water.
3. Put it back with the suction tube touching the bottom.
4. Plug in and switch ON. The green lamp lights and the boiler fills by itself.
5. Wait for the boiler scale to reach 1 to 1.2 bar.
6. Open the steam lever and let steam out into the drip tray 2 or 3 times.
