What water to use

Bezzera gives no descaling method, and its warranty excludes damage from calcification (scale).

• Hardness: the 2020 manual says drinking water of about 15 °F (French degrees). That is about 150 ppm, or 8.4 °dH (our conversion).
• Never hot water in the tank (the manual).
• Filter: Bezzera names none. Whole Latte Love recommends a BWT Bestsave M filter.
• The tank filter on the suction tube stops dirt, not scale.
