Adjust the upper burr

Move the upper burr one number

The manual's "Adjusting conical burrs", for when the GRIND SIZE wheel does not reach fine enough. It recommends one adjustment at a time.

1. Unlock the hopper, release the beans into a container, refit it and run the grinder empty.
2. Take off the hopper and lift out the upper burr.
3. Pull the wire handle out of both sides of the burr.
4. Turn the burr's ring one number finer or coarser.
5. Refit the handle in both sides, lined up with the number in the handle opening.
6. Push the burr firmly home, lock it, refit the hopper and check the shot.

The manual does not print the full range or the factory setting. Retailers and owners: 1 to 10, lower is finer, factory setting 6. One owner (Coffee Kev) says not to go finer than 5 with new burrs.
