Clean the grinder

Brush out the burrs

The manual's grinder clean. Breville gives no interval; owners do it about monthly.

1. Unlock the hopper, hold it over a container and turn its dial to release the beans; refit and lock it.
2. Set GRIND SIZE to 16 (coarsest) and run the grinder until it is empty.
3. Unlock and lift off the hopper. Lift the upper burr's wire handle, turn it anticlockwise to ALIGN and lift it out.
4. Brush the upper burr, the lower burr and the outlet chute with the supplied brushes.
5. Refit the upper burr with the marks aligned, push it firmly down and turn it clockwise to lock.
6. Refit and lock the hopper, then set GRIND SIZE back.
