The dial is on steam, but nothing happens

If hot water works but steam never starts, especially after the machine has been knocked or dropped, Caffeine Fix (technician) found a broken selector actuator. The microswitch it presses is a separate part. Both are behind the front panel.

Check the easy causes first: weak or spitting steam.
