Leaks round the handle

Coffee or water runs out round the portafilter

The manual's causes, then an owner one.

Not inserted properly: turn it fully towards LOCK.
Grounds on the rim: wipe it before locking in.
Too much coffee: trim with the Razor.
Worn seal: replace it (the manual).
New seal, still leaking, handle swings too far: owners found loose group collar screws.
