The vibration pump
Breville's US manual: "For any maintenance other than cleaning, call Breville Consumer Support." Sage's UK guide: "Any maintenance other than cleaning should be performed by an authorised Sage service centre." Opening the case is an unauthorised repair under Breville's and Sage's warranty terms and voids the warranty (1 year in the US and Canada, 2 years in the UK, EU and Australia). Wait until it has run out. Treat this as service-centre work: the methods shown are owners' and retailers', named where they appear.
A "15 bar Italian pump" (the manual). Pulsing while it runs is normal. If the pump hums but nothing comes out of its outlet hose, the pump has failed (Kanen Coffee, technician). First rule out the easy causes in no water comes out.
US: SP0020447 "Pump, Version A US/CA". 230 V: SP0000157, Ulka EP5, 48 W (Ricambi). The pressure valve on its outlet moves to the new pump.
