First start-up

Wash, fill and switch on

The manual's first steps.

Wash the filter holder, filters and other accessories in warm water with washing-up liquid.
Fill the tank with fresh water, no higher than MAX.
Push the tank in lightly so the valves on its bottom open.
Plug in and press ON/OFF on the side of the base. The 3 buttons flash in sequence (a self-test).
Wait while the 1-cup and 2-cup lights flash (heating). When they are steady, it is ready.
Set the water hardness "as soon as possible" (test and set it).

The 2026 manual's rinse.

Fit the filter holder at INSERT and turn it to the right to CLOSE.
Put a container of at least 0.5 litre under the spouts and the frother.
Press the 1-cup button. Repeat 5 times.
Turn the steam dial open for hot water. It stops by itself and the lights flash.
Turn the dial back to ○. This clears water from the circuit before you use steam.

If the machine has not been used for more than a week, run this rinse again (the manual).
