No display: the settings menu

The Dedica has no display. Its settings are button presses from the manual.

• Enter: machine ready, hold the steam button 10 seconds until the 3 buttons flash in sequence.
• Pick the setting, then the level (table below). How many lights are on shows the current level.
• Leave: press nothing for 15 seconds.
• Change a setting · Reset to factory settings · Record cup volumes

Change a setting

The manual's steps.

1. Wait until the machine is ready (1-cup and 2-cup lights steady).
2. Hold the steam button for 10 seconds until the 3 buttons flash in sequence.
3. Press the button for the setting: 1-cup for temperature, 2-cup for hardness, steam for auto-off. The lights show its current level.
4. Press 1-cup, 2-cup or steam for level 1, 2 or 3.
5. Check that the light flashes to confirm.
6. Press nothing for 15 seconds: the machine leaves the menu.

Reset to factory settings

The manual's reset. It restores the settings and the programmed cup volumes.

1. Point the frother over the drip tray.
2. Hold the steam button for 10 seconds to enter the menu.
3. Turn the steam dial open (steam and hot water).
4. Press the 1-cup button. All 3 lights flash together: the defaults are back.
5. Turn the dial back to ○ when the 1-cup and 2-cup lights flash.
