De'Longhi gives owners no repair jobs. The manual: "If the appliance is faulty, do not attempt to repair. Turn it off, unplug from the mains socket and contact Customer Services." The US manual adds that removing the exterior, repairing or modifying the machine voids the warranty (1 year in the US plus 1 with registration; 2 years in the UK and EU). Treat this as Customer Services work: the methods shown are owners', named where they appear.
One heater for coffee and steam. Moss (EC685M, owner): the inner frame comes out after the base; the heater sits behind a panel with 4 plastic clips that "didn't seem to unclip easily" (he used pliers); then he unscrewed the heater from the frame.
Scale: Tom's Coffee Corner (2025) clears scale from the thin PTFE lines to the group and the wand. Coffee Grump warns against vinegar and powder descalers, which can cause blockages. Descale with De'Longhi's descaler first.
