Clean the group with detergent

The manual's group clean, about every 90 to 140 shots. At two shots a day that is every 6 to 10 weeks. Set the Cleaning Reminder to count for you.

1. Heat up the machine.
2. Brush the group gasket and shower screen with the supplied brush.
3. Put the blind filter in the portafilter with 3 to 5 g of group cleaning powder.
4. Lock the portafilter in and lift the lever. The blind filter fills.
5. Move the lever to halfway, about 45° (not fully down), and let the cleaner work for about 20 seconds.
6. Move it fully down: the oils drain out through the group. Repeat steps 4 to 6 until only clear water comes out.

Rinse and reset

The manual's rinse.

1. Rinse the portafilter and blind filter with fresh water.
2. Lock it back in and lift the lever for about 40 seconds, then lower it.
3. Take it out and rinse again.
4. Put the 1-cup or 2-cup basket back in.
5. Store the blind filter in the bracket under the drip tray.
6. Reset the cleaning reminder: in the menu choose Reset Reminder, then Cleaning, and hold the decoder until "---" shows.
