Refresh the steam boiler water

The manual: depending on use, refresh the boiler water every 1 to 2 weeks by drawing hot water from the hot-water wand. Its hot-water section adds the rest.

1. Let the machine heat fully.
2. Put a heat-proof jug under the hot-water nozzle.
3. For more than a cupful, switch the machine off first, so cold water is not pumped in as you draw.
4. Open the hot-water lever and draw water.
5. Close the lever.
6. Switch on: the steam boiler refills from the tank or mains.
