Cup tray, tank and panels

ECM's manual says any repair or change of components must be carried out by an authorised specialist dealer, using only original spare parts; otherwise ECM accepts no liability. Treat this as dealer work.

ECM publishes no panel method. These steps are from Clive Coffee's panel video for the original Synchronika, whose panels carry the same ECM numbers as the II's.

1. Unplug and let the machine cool.
2. Lift off the cup tray, open the tank lid and take the tank out.
3. Find the six Allen screws on top: 1 and 2 hold the back panel, 3 and 4 the side panels, 5 and 6 the top panel.
4. Undo screws 3 and 4 and tip each side panel out sideways.
5. Undo screws 1 and 2 and tip the back panel backwards.
6. Loosen or remove 5 and 6 and lift off the top panel.
