The lever squeaks, sticks, or weeps
ECM's manual: cleaning with detergent too often degreases the moving parts and makes the group squeak. Clean without detergent more often and with it less. Retailers for E61 groups add that water weeping where the lever enters the group means worn cam seals (C219900426).
