The screws an owner meets

Sizes are from Gaggia's parts list for the Evo and E24. Gaggia's 2019 service manual lists only a "head screwdriver", with no type or size, and no retailer gives a cross-head size either. PH2 is the usual size for these screws; it is not stated anywhere.

Inside: boiler, valves and pump

Hex key sizes and torques are from the 2019 Classic service manual, written for the aluminium-boiler machine. Whether any torque changed for the brass boiler is not known. Spanner sizes are from a retailer's videos or owner blogs, as marked.

Do not mix the screws. Stainless ones are stamped A2 and galvanised ones 8.8. M5 × 12 exists in both, and M6 comes in two lengths: 16 mm galvanised for the boiler and steam valve, 12 mm stainless for the shower holder.
