Know the machine
What is on the outside
One paddle, two knobs, two gauges and two lights. No display and no buttons. Tap a part to see what it does.
The names used here are the manual's: paddle, steam knob, hot-water knob, drain box.
What is on the inside
Two boilers. The coffee boiler is in the group, fed from the pump through a preheater; the steam boiler fills itself from the same pump. A temperature probe in each boiler reports to the control board, and each boiler has a safety thermostat.
Everything here is behind the body panels, which La Marzocco reserves for an authorised centre.
The two lights
The lights are the Micra's only messages. The manual's table:
- Red flashing, 1 second on, 1 off: heating.
- Red, 3 seconds on, 1 off: at temperature, not connected to Wi-Fi.
- Red steady: at temperature, connected to Wi-Fi.
- Red, 3 seconds off, 1 on, blue off: standby.
- Blue flashing, 1 second on, 1 off: low water level or no tank.
- Blue steady: water in the tank.
There are no error codes. Troubleshooting starts from these patterns.
