Change the cap's O-ring

La Pavoni does not list this as owner work: its manual leaves everything beyond cleaning and normal maintenance to a service centre. No source gives a method; these are the plain steps.

1. Switch off and let the pressure out exactly as in filling the boiler.
2. Unscrew the cap slowly.
3. Ease the old O-ring off the cap with a pick, without scratching its seat.
4. Fit the new O-ring (465204).
5. Screw the cap back on clockwise, by hand.
6. Heat up, and check the cap does not hiss.
