Taste, then change one thing
The manual's own fault list, with the group temperature from Keep the group at the right temperature.
- Pale, weak, runs with little resistance: grind finer. The manual says the same.
- Dark and strong with little froth, or the lever will hardly move: grind coarser.
- Burnt or bitter after a few shots: the group is too hot. Wait a few minutes, as the manual says.
- Sour on the first shot: the group is too cool. Run a cup of hot water first, or do half pumps of the lever.
- Keep the same dose and yield while you taste the change.
