Every session

Start the session

1. Check the level in the sight glass: between its bottom and top. If it is low, fill the boiler first.
2. Switch on and wait for the light to go off.
3. Let the air out with the steam knob, as in heat up.
4. Leave the holder in the group as it heats.
5. Run a cup of hot water through with the lever before the first coffee.
6. Make the coffee: pulling a shot.

After the last coffee

1. Wait a few seconds after the last coffee, then take the holder out slowly.
2. Knock out the coffee and rinse the holder and basket.
3. Leave the lever down at rest.
4. Switch off.
5. Check the steam pipe has been wiped.
6. Empty the drip tray and wipe it with a damp cloth.

As the machine cools, the lever may rise by itself. The manual says that is a vacuum forming in the boiler, not a fault.
