The safety valve
La Pavoni's manual says any servicing or repair, apart from normal cleaning and maintenance, must be done by an authorised service centre, and that unauthorised repairs or non-original parts void the warranty. Its service-centre list names none in the UK. The method here is from retailers and owners, as marked. Its troubleshooting table: a safety valve that whistles, or steam from the valve or its condensation cup, means a blocked valve spring or a pressurestat out of range. Both go to the service centre.
The assembly (2952024R) is a fitting, the valve (395234, which includes the anti-vacuum part), a chrome cover cap and the condensation cup with its drain tube. Retailers say valves from 2022 to 2023 have no spring. Millennium valves have an M12 thread; earlier ones are BSP, so they do not swap. La Pavoni does not publish the opening pressure; owners put it at about 1.5 bar, or above 2 bar.
