The safety valve hisses or whistles
A short hiss as it warms up. Normal, say owners: the anti-vacuum part closing.
It keeps whistling, or steam comes from the valve or its cup. The manual: the valve's spring is blocked, or the pressurestat is out of range. Both go to the service centre. Owners also find a scaled pressurestat pipe.
