Coffee boiler seal

A leak between the boiler halves

The coffee boiler is two parts sealed by a red o-ring, 74.3 × 2.62 mm. A few owners found water between the lower boiler and the case while every fitting on top was dry. Scale on the sealing faces had stopped the o-ring seating.

Their fix: take the boiler out and split it, clean both faces, soak them in citric acid for about an hour, and fit a new o-ring. Lelit publishes no method, and this is a job for a workshop unless you are confident.

The diagram lists the screws that join the halves as M4 × 10 socket caps. A 3 mm hex key is the standard size for that screw; it is not confirmed on this machine.
