Gasket and shower screen

What is under the group

One centre screw holds the stack. From the top down: the group gasket in its groove, a red silicone o-ring, the brass diffuser, then the 52 mm shower screen.

Lelit publishes no procedure for changing these and no interval. The order above is from its parts diagram. One retailer suggests a new gasket and screen each year. Owners find the rubber gasket goes hard in about a year, and that a screen kept clean does not wear out.

Refit without overtightening

  1. Seat the red o-ring squarely behind the diffuser. Owners report it gets sliced if it is pinched.
  2. Tighten the centre screw only until the screen stops turning. Overtightening traps water behind the gasket and makes the filterholder stiff.
  3. Lock the filterholder in, run water through the group and check for drips at the rim.

The gasket's size is not published under this part number, so order it by the number.
