Hiss or water at the back left

A soft hiss and heat at the back-left corner

A soft, steady hiss from the back-left corner, that corner very hot, water under the tank, and the pump topping up every few minutes to hours. This is the most reported fault: the large nut at the level probe has worked loose.

The second cause is water bubbling from the brass fitting where the thin tube enters the steam boiler, with the pump cycling more and more often. A worn o-ring or collar in the push-fit, or the tube not pushed fully home.

Both need the top off. Unplug first.
