Overpressure valve
Clean and re-grease the valve
This is the owners' cure for a first shot that spikes, tried in this order. It is not a Lelit procedure.
- First try the easy fix: pull two shots against the blind filter after start-up.
- If it carries on, unplug, let it go cold and take the top panel off.
- Take the valve off its cross joint and take it apart.
- Clean and dry every part. Look for a ring of scale inside.
- Put a thin smear of Molykote 111 on all parts and reassemble.
- Refit it with the return hose untwisted, then check the pressure.
If that fails, owners replace the valve. Retailers supplied new ones under guarantee.
