Steam wand drips

The steam wand drips when shut

A fizz or drip from the tip with the tap shut, and a knob that needs more and more force to close. The PTFE pad on the tap's stem has deformed, usually from being closed hard, or has scale or milk film on it. This is the fault owners report most.

If the knob ever jams with steam flowing, owners loosen the spindle nut from inside. If it cannot be shut at all, switch off.
