Take the panels off

Take the top panel off

This follows a retailer's published method. It is enough for jobs at the top of the machine: the level probe, the valves on the steam boiler, the overpressure valve, the steam tap stem and the thermostats.

  1. Unplug and let the machine go cold.
  2. Remove the tank lid and lift the tank out. This exposes three Torx T20 screws.
  3. Remove the screw on the left side. Only loosen the two facing the front.
  4. Lift the top panel up and towards the front.

Take the outer panel off

The same retailer's method, continued. Do the top panel first.

  1. Lay the machine on its back.
  2. Remove the 3 Phillips screws that hold the panels to the frame.
  3. Remove the 2 Phillips screws that join the wrap-around outer panel to the front panel.
  4. Slide the outer panel off towards the back.
  5. Remove the reservoir tray: 4 Phillips screws.

None of these screws is modelled, and the retailer gives no Phillips size. Lelit's diagram lists Torx T20 screws for the back body and cross-head M4 screws for the front panel, so have both drivers to hand.
