On, but not heating

1. ECO mode. The machine switches its heating off after 90 minutes unused. Press the coffee button briefly to wake it.
2. Still cold. The safety thermostat on the boiler may have tripped. It cuts out at 165 °C, which happens if the element ran dry.

The thermostat sits on the boiler under the top panel. Resetting it means opening a mains appliance, so unplug first, or have a dealer do it. Then find out why it tripped: almost always an empty boiler.
