Pressure is low or slow to build

1. Slow on the first shot only (8 to 10 seconds instead of 3 to 5). Normal: the boiler is not quite full. Run a little water first.
2. The gauge never reaches 9. With a blind basket it should. If it does not, reset the brew pressure.
3. It reaches 9 with the blind basket but not with coffee. The grind is too coarse or the dose too small. That is the coffee, not the machine.
