It is on, but will not heat, or the display is dark

The importer's checks:

• Plugged in, and the power switch on: 1 on 2022 machines, 2 on the older three-position switch (1 is fill only, with no heat).
• Green lamp on but no heat, or the display dark: the boiler's safety thermostat has probably tripped; it cuts the PID too. Press its reset button on the left side of the boiler, under the top cover.
• Still no heat after a reset: dealer. One Evo owner's machine stopped heating after 5 years and a reset did not help.

Press the reset buttons

The importer's method. The reset buttons are under the top cover.

1. Switch off, unplug and let the machine cool.
2. Undo the 4 Phillips screws on top.
3. Slide the top cover back.
4. No coffee heat: press the reset button on the left side of the coffee boiler.
5. No steam: press the white reset button on top of the steam unit.
6. Slide the cover forward and refit the 4 screws before plugging in.
