Pumps and the group valve

Quick Mill publishes no service manual and says warranty and support come directly from the authorised retailer. The importer's manual stops at the two reset buttons under the top cover. Anything further inside is dealer or technician work; the notes below say whose they are.

• Brew pump: an Ulka EAX5, 52 W at 120 V on the 2010 list (EX5 48 W at 230 V in Europe), on rubber mounts. Each pump has a thermal cut-out (Klixon, datasheet): after a long run it stops, then restarts when cool. That is normal.
• Group valve: a 3-way solenoid (EV04000V 230 V, EV04000V1 115 V) with a drain tube to the tray. Owners test it with the "sneeze": a puff from the group about 3 seconds after you stop means it is working.
• Expansion valve: under the group on the Evo; set it in brew pressure. Its Evo part number is not published.
