Steam unit and pump
The steam unit, its pump and valve
Quick Mill publishes no service manual and says warranty and support come directly from the authorised retailer. The importer's manual stops at the two reset buttons under the top cover. Anything further inside is dealer or technician work; the notes below say whose they are.
- Steam unit: AL04000SCS on the 2010 list, 1000 W (datasheet). Chris' Coffee's current replacement is AL0900SCL1, 1100 W.
- Thermostats on it: a 160 °C control thermostat (TE04005) and a 220 °C safety with the white reset button (TE04005R). Pressing that button is the importer's owner fix: the reset buttons.
- Steam pump: a small vibration pump, 16 W on the Evo (dealers). A technician on home-barista says Evos with a circuit board use a regular-size pump and older Silvanos a small constant pump: look at it first.
- Steam valve: a 3-way solenoid (EV08700Z). Owners of the original Silvano traced a wand that dripped and pulsed after steaming to a broken spring in it.
- Wand joint: O-rings OR121 and 8R27 with a spring (parts list).
