The pump

A vibration pump: 34011026 for 230 V, 34011023 for 120 V. Retailers list the 230 V part as an Ulka EP5, 48 W. Rancilio gives owners no method for this. Its manual says to unplug and let the machine cool before opening it, to use only original spare parts, and, for any problem it does not list, to contact its technical support. Treat it as technician work.

Try priming first. A steady hum with no water anywhere, which priming does not cure, is a failed pump (owner report).

No step-by-step method for the V6 was found. The retailer 1st-line says the pump brackets come off with an Allen key from underneath; two owners use a 13 mm spanner on the hose fitting at the pump's outlet.
