Change the water in the boiler

The manual: change the water in the boiler at least once a month, or every fortnight with frequent use.

Let the machine heat fully, with the boiler gauge up to pressure.
Switch it off. The manual says do this with the machine just turned off, hot and pressurised.
Put a heat-proof jug under the hot-water nozzle.
Open the hot-water knob to draw water, then close it.
Repeat once more: the manual says do it twice.
Switch on: the machine refills the boiler from the tank.
