Dial it in by taste

Keep 18 g in and 36 g out, and change one thing at a time.

  1. Under 25 seconds, thin or sour: grind finer.
  2. Over 30 seconds, harsh or bitter: grind coarser.
  3. For temperature, hold the middle button behind the drip tray for 5 seconds to open the user menu.
  4. Set "Temperature Boiler" higher if shots are sour, lower if bitter: 118 to 123 °C.
  5. Give the machine several minutes to settle before you taste again.
