What the display shows

While you brew, the display counts the shot time. To see the other screens, slide out the drip tray and hold a side button for 2 seconds or more. The manual lists:

• the screensaver;
• heating;
• boiler temperature;
• group ("unit") temperature;
• enough water in the boiler;
• enough water in the tank;
• the main board and display software versions.

There is no setting for brew temperature, shot timer or pre-infusion: you set the boiler, and the group follows.

Change a setting

The manual and Rocket's programming sheet.

1. Slide out the drip tray and its grid to reach the three buttons.
2. Hold the centre button for more than 5 seconds to enter the menu.
3. Use the side buttons to scroll to the setting.
4. Press the centre button (the value flashes), change it with the side buttons, and press the centre button to confirm.
5. Hold the centre button for 5 seconds to save and leave. The manual says this is the way to save correctly.
6. Slide the tray back until it clicks.

Factory reset, and the dealer menu

The manual's reset. It puts the user settings back to the factory values.

1. Switch off.
2. Hold down the centre button.
3. Switch on and keep holding for more than 10 seconds, until the factory icon appears.
4. Set it to ON with a side button.
5. Press the centre button to confirm.
6. Switch off and on again.

Rocket's programming sheet also describes a hidden technical menu for dealers: group temperature, an electrical test, lamp brightness and the sensitivity of the boiler and tank sensors. It is not in the owner's manual, and this guide leaves it to your dealer.
