Descaling: what the two importers say

Quick Mill publishes no descaling method in English. Its two importers' manuals disagree:

US importer (Chris' Coffee), 2022 manual: with softened water, descaling should not be necessary, and "for liability reasons we strongly discourage descaling and will not provide any instructions."
Dutch importer (Euroquick), 2013 manual for the original Silvano: in hard-water areas, descale once a month with a descaler made for espresso machines, never vinegar, following the instructions on the pack.

Neither gives a step-by-step method for this machine, so this guide gives none.

Keep scale out with water of 3 grains per gallon or less: see water.
If you think scale is already there (slow flow, weak steam), take the machine to a Quick Mill dealer.
