Move it

Profitec's manual gives no way to drain the boiler. It says to keep the machine away from frost, and to move it upright, on a pallet if possible, without tilting it or turning it over. Keep the original packing for this. To store it unused for a while, see Before a long break instead.

  1. Switch off, unplug and let it cool. Take out the tank and the drip tray, and empty them.
  2. Check the steam valve is closed.
  3. Wipe the steam wand with a damp cloth, then pack the machine upright in its box, with nothing heavy on top.
